No one needed a change of scenery more this winter than Randal Kolo Muani (26), who is making the most of his opportunity at Juventus FC.
The French World Cup runner-up has been a goal machine since being loaned to the record 36-time Serie A champions. On Friday, he was at it again, netting a brace in a 2-1 victory over Como. His winner one minute before the 90 gave him five goals in his first three Italian top-flight fixtures. The last Juventus player to score in each of his first three Serie fixtures at the club was Robert Baggio in 1990-91.
Before that achievement, Kolo Muani made history in Juve’s 4-1 victory over Empoli, becoming the first player ever to score a brace for the club in his debut Serie A fixture at Allianz Stadium in Turin.
PSG signed Kolo Muani to a five-year €80m contract in September 2023, not including bonuses. He netted a combined 10 goals across all competitions during his time with Les Parisiens. The man from Bondy is nearly halfway towards that total at Juventus with four goals.
While Paris Saint-Germain will feel they’ve been short-changed thus far, the opposite is true for Juve. He’s already been a fantastic bargain for the Italian giants, with the club paying a reported loan fee of €1m to acquire him for six months, with €2.6m in additional costs.
Kolo Muani’s contributions to Juventus have enabled them to climb into a UEFA Champions League spot, sitting fourth in Serie A, a point above Fiorentina.
