Roma manager Claudio Ranieri applauded his team’s performance in tonight’s 2-2 draw with Bologna.
The veteran technician discussed the Giallorossi’s display in his post-match presser.
“Analyzing the match I have to say that I liked the team because we kept the ball well, even though I like a quicker distribution and today we went back too many times.”
“In the first half we went two or three times close to scoring and also to a penalty on the shot conceded by Saelemaekers that the referee judged not to be too strong.”
“Then we took the lead and wanted to score the second, while in two minutes we conceded the one-two leaving Bologna galvanized. There I realized that we needed fresh strength and I’m happy with how five players came on the pitch and we managed to get a fair draw.”
“For me the most important thing is that the team never gives up and tonight they didn’t. The team did well.”
