Reading are braced for late interest from the Championship for Derby County and Portsmouth linked Harvey Knibbs, according to The Sun.
The former Aston Villa academy product is having an impressive season with Reading in League One.
Knibbs has featured in 25 league games for Reading so far this season, scoring nine goals and registering two assists in the process for the Royals.
His performances have attracted attention from Championship outfits Portsmouth and Derby – and Reading are at risk of losing him.
Both Derby and Portsmouth are in a relegation battle and are in the market for an attacking midfielder.
Now it has been claimed that the Royals star will be the subject of late interest from the Championship, with the League One side braced for it.
Knibbs scored Reading’s winner against Bolton Wanderers on Saturday and with his contract set to expire in 2026, he might leave the club in the ongoing window.
Derby have been active in the transfer window and Paul Warne is keen on adding more fresh faces to his squad.
Now all eyes will be on Knibbs to see whether he will seal an exit from Reading before Monday’s transfer deadline.
