Real Madrid secured an important win over Celta Vigo at the Santiago Bernabeu, but what looked like a comfortable victory turned into a tense affair late in the second half.
The Merengues dominated the game for 68 minutes, enjoying a strong lead and full control.
However, the final 22 minutes brought stress and nerves to the home crowd, as a comeback from Celta would have handed Barcelona a golden chance in the La Liga title race.
One player who felt the pressure more than most was Jacobo Ramon. The young defender was brought on in the 66th minute, just before Celta Vigo managed to find a rhythm and push for a comeback.
According to Defensa Central, Ramon left the pitch feeling down and somewhat responsible for the shift in momentum that nearly cost Real Madrid the win.
After the final whistle, both Carlo Ancelotti and his son Davide Ancelotti approached Ramon in the dressing room to lift his spirits. “It’s not your fault,” they told the young centre-back, who has stepped up amid an injury-hit squad.

Despite his disappointment, the coaching staff knows Ramon gave his best and is not to blame for the late tension in the match.
It is to be noted that Real Madrid are currently facing a defensive crisis. With Antonio Rudiger, Dani Carvajal, Eder Militao, Ferland Mendy and David Alaba all sidelined, the team is short on options at the back.
This situation has pushed Ramon into the spotlight, with the coaching staff now counting on him alongside Raul Asencio and Aurelien Tchouameni to cover the centre-back roles.
As the season enters its final stretch, possibly including the Club World Cup, Ramon’s role could grow even more.
The club is backing him, and with Ancelotti’s support, the young talent may have a chance to prove himself on some of the biggest stages in the weeks ahead.
