Having missed out on the signing of Alphonso Davies, Real Madrid remain on the lookout for a new left-back heading into the summer transfer window.

The Spanish champions have Ferland Mendy and Fran Garcia in their ranks but neither has been convincing enough to nail down the starting berth.

As such, it makes sense for Real Madrid to enter the market for an upgrade, with former defenders Theo Hernandez and Miguel Gutierrez being linked with a return to the Santiago Bernabeu.

Another player who is reportedly on Real Madrid’s agenda is AFC Bournemouth left-back Milos Kerkez, who is enjoying a fine season int the Premier League.

Real Madrid ready with player-plus-cash offer for Kerkez

Now, Fichajes reports that Real Madrid are preparing an offer to sign Kerkez from Bournemouth, which would see them part ways with one of their current left-backs.

Indeed, as per the report, Los Blancos are ready to shell out €15 million for the 21-year-old defender, along with Fran Garcia as part of the deal.

Real Madrid believe Kerkez offers a more physical and attack-minded profile that better suits their future plans, and as such are prepared to make a move.

While talks are still in the early stages, Real Madrid are confident that including Fran Garcia in the offer will help facilitate the deal.

After all, Bournemouth manager Andoni Iraola knows Garcia well from their time together at Rayo Vallecano. The two shared a positive relationship and Iraola believes the Real Madrid left-back would adapt quickly to his system in the Premier League.

Signing Kerkez could be a good move as far as Real Madrid are concerned, given that they will get a player who is young, possesses great attacking ability, and has already accrued experience in the Premier League.
