Tijjani Reijnders has admitted that he is happy to be back in his home country, but anticipates a tough game for AC Milan against Feyenoord.
In truth, Milan were hoping to be having the midweek off given that going into the final round of games in the first phase of the competition they sat in eighth place and looked likely to qualify directly for the last 16 directly.
And yet, the Rossoneri were beaten 2-1 by Dinamo Zagreb in the Croatian capital, so dropped seven places to 13th. Thus, they entered the play-off round and were pitted against Feyenoord, a team who are having a difficult season but showed what they can do when they beat Bayern Munich.
Reijnders spoke at the pre-match press conference at De Kuip last night and shortly afterwards he was interview by Sky Italia, with his comments relayed by MilanNews.
You are back in the Netherlands…
“It’s always nice to return to my home country. Tomorrow my family will be here, it will be even more special for me.”
