According to Il Corriere dello Sport, former Juventus President Andrea Agnelli could lead the club again, possibly at the helm of a group of investors who would take over from Exor.

Former Juventus President Agnelli could take control of the club in the future, leading a group of investors who are willing to buy a majority stake from Exor.

Agnelli and the entire board of directors, including ex-vice president Pavel Nedved, resigned in November 2022 following an investigation over inflated capital gains.

In January 2023, Agnelli received a two-year ban, while Juventus were docked 10 points in the 2022-23 campaign and banned from European competitions for one season.

According to the report, Agnelli could return to the club as a board member or, more likely, as the leader of a group of investors.

Nevertheless, Agnelli’s possible return to the club is easier said than done as Exor controls a 65,4% stake in the cub with 78,9% of the voting rights.

Corriere dello Sport reports that Juventus are valued at €1.15 billion on the stock market and that Exor’s stake is therefore worth €752m plus a control premium.

Agnelli would not be able to afford such a sum alone, so he’s reportedly been working to create a group of investors, including American funds, willing to make an offer to buy a controlling stake in the club.

The next few months will say whether Agnelli’s plan is feasible and whether he could return in charge of the club.
