Chelsea have reportedly made contact to sign a new Premier League striker recently to arrive in the summer transfer window.
The January transfer window was awful for Chelsea, and the results since then have been terrible too. They lost at the weekend just making things even worse ahead of their next match tonight against Southampton.
The Blues lost 2-1 against Aston Villa on Saturday evening after being 1-0 up inside the first 20 minutes. I think Chelsea fans would have just expected even at that point, that their side were still going to lose this game, and they did.
Yet another horror goalkeeper error from Chelsea saw Villa grab the winning goal near the end of the game, but we all saw it coming.
Chelsea could not score and were really terrible. Even Cole Palmer was terrible, and he was seen trying to blame others for a bad pass that HE himself made. This just about sums everything up right now.
The Blues need a big win tonight to get back on track, or at least a win.

Chelsea need a new striker, and they are once again being linked with Matheus Cunha of Wolves.
According to a report from Fichajes in Spain, Chelsea have been in contact with Cunha ahead of a potential summer move, alongside Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur, with the three London clubs seriously considering activating the £62m release clause.
The Blues are said to view the Wolves star as a key signing for their project, indicating he could be among their main striker targets for the summer.
This source isn’t great, but we do know there has been some recent interest in Cunha from Chelsea.
