Barcelona will receive a triple injury boost this week heading into the game against Sevilla on Sunday night as Dani Olmo, Fermin Lopez, and Gavi are all set to return to action.

Gavi has been working with the group for close to a month now while Fermin resumed training with the squad on Monday.

As for Olmo, the 26-year-old summer signing is yet to receive the all-clear from the medical department to resume training with the group.

Olmo starts training on Thursday, will play vs Sevilla

Now, providing an update on his situation, journalist Javi Miguel reports that Olmo will join group training on Thursday, when all the international players are expected to be back in Barcelona.

Continuing, the journalist states that the Spanish attacking midfielder will be in the squad to face Sevilla on Sunday night after undergoing an activation session.

In fact, it is being claimed that Olmo will get around 20 minutes of game-time against the Andalusian outfit this weekend.

Reports had already suggested that Hansi Flick & co. will ease Olmo back into action and carefully feed him minutes so that he is in a position to start in the Clasico next week against Real Madrid.

As part of that strategy, it appears that Olmo will play around 20 minutes against Sevilla, while his workload will likely be greater in the UEFA Champions League game against Bayern Munich next week.

The ultimate goal is for the summer arrival to regain match sharpness and total fitness so that he is in a position to start against Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabeu next weekend.
