Inter Milan plan to offload Francesco Acerbi, Marko Arnautovic, and Joaquin Correa for younger replacements next summer.

This according to Italian outlet Gazzetta.it. They report that the Nerazzurri will certainly also have Andrei Radu off their books at the latest.

At the moment, Inter’s squad has a fairly high average age.

And Nerazzurri owners Oaktree Capital have sent a clear message that they intend to change that.

In recent weeks, Inter have been negotiating a number of transfers for young midfielders.

Reportedly, the Nerazzurri are close to securing deals for Newell’s Old Boys midfielder Tomas Perez and Dinamo Zagreb’s Petar Sucic.

These are further examples of Oaktree’s future-oriented transfer strategy at Inter. They are ready to invest in signings for the future rather than the present.

Inter Plan To Replace Acerbi, Arnautovic & Correa With Younger Players

In the other direction, Inter will see the squad get younger through the departures of some players at the end of their contracts.

There are currently a few players at the Nerazzurri whose deals run out at the end of June.

The Gazzetta confirm that Inter plan to extend the contract of Stefan de Vrij, despite the Dutchman turning 33 in February.

However, the same cannot be said of defender Francesco Acerbi or forwards Marko Arnautovic or Joaquin Correa.

All three are thirty or older. Their deals expire at the end of this season, and they will be on their way.

And Inter will look to skew young in their search for a replacement.

The Gazzetta report that the replacements in both defense and attack could come from Bologna.

Rossoblu defender Sam Beukema is a priority target for Inter, reports the Gazzetta. And then at the other end of the pitch, the Nerazzurri are ready to line up a move for Santiago Castro.
