Inter Milan are figuring out a strategy to beat Arsenal and Man United to midfielder Nico Paz by enticing Real Madrid on a deal.
Today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, via FCInterNews, report that the Nerazzurri could offer Real a deal containing a buyback clause.
By now, it is no secret that Inter consider Nico Paz a target.
The Argentine’s form since joining Como in the summer has been nothing short of a revelation. He has scored twice and made three assists, and that’s only the tip of the iceberg.
Inter see Paz’s technical quality and versatility as ideal for the future of their project.
However, Inter aren’t the only team who have sat up and taken notice. Tuttosport report that Arsenal have made a couple inquiries, while Manchester United are also admirers.
There is another variable in the entire situation. That is Real Madrid’s buyback clause on Paz.
The Spanish giants sold the 20-year-old to Como last summer for €6 million.
However, Real have a buyback clause. Next summer, they can sign Paz back for €12 milliom.
Therefore, if Real decide to do so and then sell Paz for a profit, then Inter would have to negotiate with them rather than with Como.
And in that case, Tuttosport report, Inter could try and entice Real the same way Como did.
The newspaper report that the Nerazzurri would be ready to offer a fee of €20-25 million for Paz’s signature.
However, that would be with the caveat of a buyback clause worth around €40 million active in 2027.
