Anti-mafia prosecutors are currently conducting an investigation into Inter ultras group the Curva Nord and their Milan counterparts the Curva Nord.

The authorities have already made nineteen arrests. These have been of prominent members of the Nord and the Sud, who prosecutors allege engaged in illegal activities and have mafia connections.

As part of the investigation, prosecutors have been speaking to a number of important figures at both Inter and Milan.

There are no accusations of criminal wrongdoing against any official individuals at either club.

However, investigators are looking into whether or not the clubs may have facilitated any alleged illegal activities.

Inzaghi, Skriniar & Calabria Could Risk Fines & Short Bans In Ultras Investigation

Investigators have spoken to Inter coach Simone Inzaghi already.

This was in regards to the coach’s conversation with arrested ultras leader Marco Ferdico, in which the ultras leader asked the Nerazzurri coach to try and get more tickets to the 2023 Champions League final for the ultras.

It was a similar story for AC Milan captain Calabria.

The Italian international allegedly received a similar request for tickets from ultras with the Curva Sud.

And lastly, investigators could also speak to Paris Saint-Germain defender Milan Skriniar.

Skriniar had met with ultras representatives a few months before leaving Inter. This was to explain his decision to leave the Nerazzurri on a free transfer.

La Repubblica report that investigators are looking to determine whether the contacts between Inzaghi, Calabria, and Skriniar constituted an ongoing relationship.

If the investigators do come to that conclusion, then the three could receive punishments.

This would be under Article 25 of the Code of Sports Justice in Italy.

That would mean that there would be a risk of a €20,000 fine for Inzaghi, Skriniar, and Calabria.

Additionally, there could also be a short suspension for the trio.
