Inter and Milan are now moving full speed ahead on their stadium plans.

The two clubs’ efforts to build a new stadium has been a lengthy saga that has dragged on for several years.

Initially, the Nerazzurri and the Rossoneri aimed to tear down the existing stadium and build a new one in its place.

After a failure to secure approval to demolish the San Siro, the clubs moved plans outside the city. Inter in the commune of Rozzano, and Milan in the San Donato area.

Inter & AC Milan To Present San Siro Offer By End Of February

Milan Mayor Beppe Sala has worked to keep the two teams within city limits, however.

The Mayor initially proposed the idea of renovating the San Siro to update it for the clubs’ needs.

Inter and Milan rejected this idea. However, they are open to the idea of building a new stadium adjacent to the existing stadium.

The clubs plan to build not only a new stadium which can generate greater revenues from gate receipts, but also further commercial developments such as club museums, restaurants and bars, and retail.

Inter and Milan must now present an offer to buy the land on which to build.

The city of Milan has given the clubs a deadline until the end of March.

However, the clubs are now in a hurry. They have no intention of waiting that long to make their offer.

Therefore, La Repubblica report, the clubs’ bid should arrive by the end of February.

The basis for the offer will be the evaluation of the value of the land at €197 million by the city’s revenue agency. However, the costs of land reclamation will be subtracted from this.
