Paris Saint-Germain heads back to the French capital with a slim advantage after a 1–0 win over Arsenal on Tuesday night at Emirates Stadium in the first leg of their UEFA Champions League semifinal.
Ousmane Dembélé gave PSG the lead early, scoring the only goal just four minutes in. He started the play by passing to Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, then made a run into the box, where Kvaratskhelia returned the ball with a clever outside-of-the-foot pass. Dembélé finished with a low shot that grazed the post on its way in.
Arsenal thought they had equalized later, but VAR intervened to rule the goal out, leaving PSG with a one-goal lead heading into the second leg at Parc des Princes.
Despite the win, it came at a cost as Dembélé left the contest with an injury, and now there’s questions whether the Frenchman will be ready for the second leg next Wednesday.

RMC Sport reported on Thursday, citing sou that the forward is expected to be rested for this weekend’s Ligue 1 match after medical tests revealed a minor hamstring injury. Moreover, the report states that Dembélé will rest over the next few days with the hope of healing by Wednesday.
The outlet also claims that Dembélé did not take part in Thursday’s team training session as a precaution. For the same reason, he is not expected to feature against Strasbourg on Saturday.
PSG doesn’t want to take any chances, especially with the Ligue 1 title already secured. However, the club is still hopeful he’ll be available for Wednesday night, per the report.
