With the January transfer window now closed, clubs wrapped up their final deals to strengthen their squads for the second half of the 2024-25 season. One of the most notable moves saw Marcus Rashford depart Manchester United for Villa Park.
As reported last month by Ben Jacobs of Give Me Sport, although Paris Saint-Germain hasn’t been actively pursuing Rashford lately, the club’s sporting advisor, Luis Campos, is keeping an eye on the situation.
PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi has had conversations with Rashford’s representatives in the past, but any further talks will likely depend on whether the player is truly open to a move to Paris. This measured approach comes after Rashford signed a five-year contract extension with Manchester United in July 2023.
Jacobs also mentioned that Rashford is weighing a move to La Liga, with Barcelona reportedly interested. However, financial limitations could complicate the deal, making a loan move the most plausible option—if Manchester United is willing to cover a large portion of his wages.

Despite the rumors linking Rashford abroad, former English player Robbie Fowler believes that his move to Aston Villa is perfect for him to get his career back on track.
“It’s the perfect move for him,” Fowler said (h/t Diario AS). “We don’t know what has affected his performance at Manchester United, but he probably needed a change. United wanted him out and Villa have got a very good player and could help him relaunch his career.”
Recently, TEAMtalk reported that the Premier League club values Rashford at around £50 million to £60 million as they look to raise funds while managing their transfer strategy. However, the Red Devils might have to wait and hope Rashford has a successful loan stint to garner this fee.
