Silva Gets 8, Marmoush With 7.5 | Manchester City Players Rated In Impressive Win Vs Bournemouth

Manchester City entertained Bournemouth at the Etihad Stadium earlier tonight as they hoped to secure all three points at home in the Premier League. Pep Guardiola’s men made a bright start to the game and got their noses ahead in the 14th minute when Omar Marmoush found the back of the net. Bernardo Silva doubled Man City’s advantage in the 38th minute as the home team went into the half-time break 2-0 up on the scoreline.
Mateo Kovacic and Lewis Cook were both sent off by the referee in the second half. Nico Gonzalez killed the game off for the Mancunian giants in the 89th minute before Daniel Jebbison grabbed a late consolation goal in injury time. The contest finished with Man City securing an impressive 3-1 win at the Etihad.

GK: Ederson – 6/10
The Brazilian keeper made one good save at the back but failed to keep a clean sheet tonight.
RB: Matheus Nunes – 6/10
He made a poor error at the back but managed to secure an assist going forward.
CB: Ruben Dias – 6/10
Dias put his foot through the ball when he could but there was no clean sheet for him.
CB: Manuel Akanji – 6.5/10
He made a couple of important clearances inside his half and was tidy with his passing.

LB: Josko Gvardiol – 7/10
Gvardiol performed his defensive duties well and won a couple of aerial duels.
CM: Mateo Kovacic – 6.5/10
He was a positive influence at both ends of the field and has got an assist to his name. However, Kovacic let his teammates down by getting sent off in the 67th minute.
CM: Ilkay Gundogan – 7.5/10
He ran the show at the centre of the park and ended the game with an assist to his name.
RW: Bernardo Silva – 8/10
Silva caught the eye at times on the right wing and managed to get his name on the scoresheet in the 38th minute.
CAM: Kevin De Bruyne – 7/10
De Bruyne made two key chances in the final third and was unfortunate to hit the post.
LW: Omar Marmoush – 7.5/10
He was a constant menace in the opponent’s half and managed to score the opener in the 14th minute.
ST: Erling Haaland – 7/10
Haaland made two promising runs with the ball and was a real handful for the Bournemouth centre-backs.
