Slot unconcerned by Salah form after another Liverpool blank | OneFootball

Arne Slot has said he is not worried by Mohamed Salah’s recent form after Liverpool’s leading scorer failed to score for the fourth consecutive game.

Salah has been in sensational form this season and leads the Premier League for both goals (27) and assists (17).

However, the Egyptian has endured a recent dip in performances and failed to find the net during Liverpool’s 3-2 defeat at Fulham on Sunday.

The result was Liverpool’s third defeat in four games in all competitions, with Salah’s mini-drought coinciding with the Reds’ downturn in results.

Despite another game without a goal, Slot said he has no concerns about the 32-year-old and has backed Salah to ‘show up again’ across the run-in.

“Maybe he should see it as a compliment [that people are talking about it] because his numbers were not normal [when he was scoring],” Slot said to BBC Match of the Day.

“The good thing about Mo is he knows what kind of player he is. Mo will show up again, I don’t worry about that.”

Liverpool’s loss at Fulham was just their second in the Premier League this season and ended a 26-game unbeaten run in the division. The Merseysiders missed the chance to extend their advantage at the top, but remain 11 points clear of nearest challengers Arsenal.

Liverpool need a maximum of 11 points from their final seven games to secure the title. Slot’s side host West Ham United at Anfield next Sunday in their next fixture.
