Atlético de Madrid scored two second-half goals to seal a 4-0 away victory over Girona on the final day of the LaLiga season.
Scorers: Sørloth 68', 90', 92' Lenglet 87'
Atlético made a brighter start as Samuel Lino and Julián Álvarez forced Girona goalkeeper Krapyvtsov Vladyslav into action inside the opening 20 minutes.
Diego Simeone's side continued to create better opportunities and Álvarez's deflected free-kick in first-half injury time was tipped behind by Vladyslav.
Atlético eventually struck the opener mid-way through the second half with a flowing move, which Sørloth finished off from Rodrigo De Paul's cross.
The Colchoneros doubled their lead in the final 10 minutes after Clément Lenglet pounced on a loose ball inside the area and fired into the net.
Sørloth capped a dominant second-half display with a low thumping strike into the bottom corner before completing his hat-trick with a tap-in in the final minute.
Girona were able to play this LaLiga closer without fear of relegation but could finish as low as 17th if Sevilla beat Villarreal, while Atlético ended their campaign in third place.
