Strasbourg interested in Leeds striker Mateo Joseph | OneFootball

According to a report from L’Équipe, RC Strasbourg Alsace are looking to strengthen their attacking options this summer and have identified a number of targets to monitor. On that list is Leeds United striker Mateo Joseph (21).

The Spaniard was part of the Leeds squad that won promotion back to the Premier League this season. At the start of the season, he was given several starts under head coach Daniel Farke, but this began to tail off following the 1-1 draw with Norwich in October. Joseph, instead, was relied upon far more as an option from the bench. Joseph will be included in Spain’s squad for the UEFA European Under-21 Championship.

Mateo Joseph not the only option for Strasbourg

However, the Leeds man is not the only player that Strasbourg are monitoring. They have also been linked with Joaquin Panichelli (22), who plays for Deportivo Alavés in La Liga. This follows a season where Strasbourg’s options at number nine, excluding Emanuel Emegha, have failed to consistently impress.
