Thiago Motta reiterates that he sees ‘nothing negative’ in Teun Koopmeiners even if fans and media are criticising the Dutchman.
Koopmeiners has failed to justify his €60m price tag at Juventus this season as he only contributed to two goals and three assists in 29 appearances with the Old Lady.
On Friday, Como scored after stealing the ball from the ex-Atalanta star on the edge of the Juventus box, but Motta refused to blame Koop during a press conference on Monday.

“Nothing negative about him. You’ve written and spoken about it, but that’s normal,” he said.
“I’ve always seen him doing well. I’ve been very happy with him from day one. He always trains at full intensity. He has played different roles, performed well, and continues growing. I’m very satisfied and convinced that everyone can still give more, but I’m happy with Koop’s work so far.”
Motta refused to confirm whether Koopmeiners would start for Juventus against PSV on Tuesday, telling Sky Sport Italia: “You’ll see tomorrow.”
