According to journalist Fabrizio Romano, Livramento is one of four right-backs on their transfer shortlist.

Man City have started revamping their squad after a subpar 2024/25 season, and the full-back positions need strengthening.

Kyle Walker left on loan mid-season. Even if AC Milan do not sign him permanently, Man City still plan to shift him off the books this summer.

They will need a replacement for the England international, and Livramento is a solid candidate to usurp that position, providing competition for Rico Lewis.

Livramento has helped Newcastle keep seven clean sheets in 35 Premier League appearances this term.

The 22-year-old has won 52 percent of his duels, and recorded 5.08 progressive passes and 2.50 progressive carries per 90 minutes.

Livramento is a technically proficient two-way full-back who can seamlessly slot into Pep Guardiola’s defence.

However, fresh off winning the League Cup, Newcastle will be determined to keep the core of their squad for next season.

The Magpies may demand an arm and a leg to stave off Man City as they have done with Alexander Isak and Anthony Gordon.

Man City also plan to reinforce at left-back, and their first target is reportedly Juventus man Andrea Cambiaso. Tottenham Hotspur’s Destiny Udogie is also on their wishlist.

Another area where they need quality is in central midfield. Kevin De Bruyne is leaving the club this summer. They must sign another playmaker in the engine room.

Man City are eyeing AC Milan’s Tijjani Reijnders, who has been one of the best midfielders in Europe this season. The Dutchman is excellent on both sides of the ball.

Reijnders can control the tempo, split defences with passes, and crash the box to score.

The 26-year-old also works hard defensively. He is the total package and would be quite an addition if they snapped him up.
