The Midlands club has embarked on a remarkable journey this season, and have smashed the League One points record with two games still to play.

On Sunday, it was officially party time for the Blues, as they lifted the League One trophy after comprehensively beating Mansfield Town 4-0 at St. Andrew's @ Knighthead Park.

Promotion from the third tier was just the first step in Wagner's ambitious plans for the club, and they now set their sights on a return to the Premier League next season.

Regardless of what people believe about Birmingham's spending, they did not once look complacent and were rewarded with a historic title victory, and Stakeholder Brady wasn't afraid to shower the chairman with praise.

NFL superstar and Birmingham stakeholder Brady has played his part in the club's resurgence under manager Chris Davies, which has certainly seen interest in the EFL from across the Atlantic Ocean grow, along with Wrexham's Hollywood owners.

However, chairman Wagner has been the spearhead of the club's ambitious plans to return to the Premier League and build an all-new state-of-the-art stadium in the future.

Brady took to Instagram after the Blues had lifted the League One trophy, responding to a picture of the club's chairman holding the club's first piece of silverware since 2011.

The American labelled his compatriot as "The Boss," whilst tagging Wagner's Instagram account in the comment.

The co-founder of Knighthead Capital Management LLC has clearly been enjoying his role at the club this season, and supporters as well as his fellow shareholders have quickly taken the businessman to their hearts.

Unfortuantely, in recent years, we've seen so many ambitious ownership stories take a turn and the club in question end up in financial ruin. Look at Reading as your prime example currently, with the likes of Bolton Wanderers and Leyton Orient dealing with similar situations in the last decade.

Birmingham supporters may have been skeptical about Knighthead last year, when they sacked an overachieving John Eustace in favour of Wayne Rooney, in a move that contributed massively to their relegation from the Championship.

However, Wagner has very quickly put any of those doubts to bed with his performance in the role this season. His investment, involvement, and transparency with fans has certainly healed the pain of last season's relegation.

Truthfully, the sky is the limit for the Midlands club. It wouldn't be a surprise to see them spend big again in the summer and be towards the top of the Championship table.

The appointment of Davies was another excellent move by the board, as he's a young, exciting coach who matches the club's ambitious project.

All in all, Wagner is now receiving the plaudits that he rightfully deserves after a historic season for the Blues, and his hard work and dedication will have Bluenoses excited about the forthcoming season.
