Tottenham Hotspur are desperate to bring in reinforcements before the February 3 transfer deadline.

However, things are not going well for Spurs in the January transfer window so far.

Tottenham have been linked with several quality players, but they have only managed to sign goalkeeper Antonin Kinsky from Slavia Praha.

Ange Postecoglou’s side looked close to signing Mathys Tel after agreeing a £50 million deal with Bayern Munich.

Chairman Daniel Levy even travelled to Munich for face-to-face talks but the forward rejected them.

And now journalist Luca Bendoni is reporting that Fikayo Tomori has also turned down the opportunity to play for the Lilywhites.

It is said the 27-year-old wants to stay at AC Milan and is focused on Sunday’s derby match against Inter Milan.

Tottenham are looking to add a new defender in the January window, and they believed Tomori to be an ideal option.

The centre-back started his career at Chelsea, where he progressed through its youth ranks to make 27 first-team appearances.

He was allowed to join Milan in 2021, initially on loan that was later made permanent for £25m.

Tomori established himself as a key player for the Italian giants, featuring in 163 appearances across all competitions.

However, the 27-year-old hasn’t been an undisputed starter this season, with just nine Serie A starts to his name.

This suggested he could be open to return to the Premier League, but he has rejected an approach from Tottenham.
