Real Madrid full-back Lucas Vazquez stepped forward to address the media ahead of their upcoming match against Mallorca.
The match holds significant importance as the team looks to continue their pursuit of silverware this season.
Real Madrid head into this encounter with a strong desire to keep their winning momentum alive.
The team sees this as the first step towards claiming the Super Cup, and the hunger to achieve more success is clearly driving their preparations.
Mallorca, on the other hand, poses a challenge with their cohesive style of play. They are a well-organised team, both with and without the ball, and have been in strong form recently.
“It’s the desire we have to keep winning. Tomorrow is the first step towards winning the Super Cup. We are driven by that hunger,” he began saying.

For Vazquez, being able to wear the captain’s armband for Real Madrid is a personal dream come true.
It comes with significant responsibilities, requiring him to lead during both good and challenging moments. Being a captain at a club of Real Madrid’s stature is a tremendous honour and an important milestone in his career.
“It’s a source of pride to be able to wear the Real Madrid captain’s armband. It’s a dream. Being captain comes with good and bad moments. It’s a huge responsibility.”
When it comes to his future at the club, Vazquez expressed that it is still too early to make any definitive statements.
At the moment, he is focused on enjoying his time at Real Madrid and taking things one step at a time.
“It’s too early to know what will happen. I’m happy here and enjoying myself. We’ll see what happens next time. I can’t say anything else.”

Dani Carvajal’s absence is a blow for the team, but Vazquez is ready to step up and contribute wherever he is needed.
He takes pride in helping the team and cherishes every opportunity to play for a club of Real Madrid’s calibre.
“Dani’s absence is important for us. I try to help the team in any way I can. I’m delighted to be able to do what I like most at the best club in the world.”
When asked about players like Alexander-Arnold, who is linked to Real Madrid, Vazquez avoided speculation, choosing to focus on the present and the task at hand. For him, all attention remains on Mallorca and the challenges they bring.
“He’s a player who isn’t at Real Madrid. I can’t answer that. We’re focused on tomorrow’s game,” he noted.
Touching on comments made by Barcelona’s Raphinha, Vazquez maintained a respectful tone.
He underlined the importance of respecting all clubs, players, and institutions, ensuring that Real Madrid always upholds a sense of professionalism.
“We all know what is happening and what Raphinha has said. We respect all the clubs and all the players, we respect the institutions and we trust them,” he concluded.
With a season full of opportunities and obstacles, Real Madrid aims to continue their pursuit of excellence, starting with the game against Mallorca.
