Aston Villa are a buying club right now rather than a selling club. Unai Emery and his side are making heavy investments in their squad and are already starting to reap the rewards.
The Birmingham-based club have now turned their attention to Villarreal and ex-Tottenham defender Juan Foyth, who has struggled since returning from a long period on the sidelines due to injury.
As per Relevo, the 27-year-old is currently playing the waiting game, as negotiations between the clubs continue. The Argentine defender is waiting for an agreement before making a final decision.
With Foyth’s contract expiring in 2026, there is no better time for a move to happen, as Villa could get their man for around €15 million.
Juan Foyth could provide essential cover for Aston Villa, especially given Pau Torres’ current injury – the former Villarreal man has been out since December.
Foyth provides a versatile option for any team, as he’s able to play at right-back or in the centre of defence, so Villarreal may be keen to hang onto their man.
