We can’t remember a single thing this player has done in his last 5 games – opinion

Chelsea have had a lot of games against pretty weak opposition recently, which led to some good results, but without any really convincing performances, either collectively or individually – certainly from the attacking players, at least.

We noted William Gallas’ comments about winger Jadon Sancho after the 4-0 win over Southampton at the end of February, where he accused the on loan Man U winger of having “disappeared.”

“He has a lot of potential and he has real quality, that’s why people are disappointed in his recent performances,” the former Blues defender said.

“In all honesty, I don’t know if he can be consistent in the Premier League. That is the most difficult thing about playing in England. You have to push yourself to the limit and not just once, you have to do it all season. Some players just cannot do it, it’s just too much for them.

He was echoing the words of John Obi Mikel, another former Chelsea player who had said the following on his podcast not long before:

“Jadon Sancho came in and deceived us with a couple of games, and we thought, “fu*king hell, we are getting the Sancho from Dortmund”, but he’s gone again,” the ex-Chelsea midfielder said.

“I don’t know what happened to him, but he has disappeared off the grid.”

Sancho’s run against weak teams doesn’t help his form

Well, we regret to say that things haven’t changed since then. We’ve played 5 games in that time, with Sancho starting 4 and coming on as a sub in the 5th. Despite the weak opposition, he failed to record a goal or assist. In fact, we’re not sure we can remember a single thing he did across all 5 matches.
