West Ham head to Aston Villa in the Premier League this afternoon with Graham Potter in search of a response from his side.
The Hammers lost on home soil to Crystal Palace last time out, a display that reiterated the task Potter has to turn around their season. It’s the second time this month West Ham face Aston Vill away from home, after exiting the FA Cup at Villa Park on January 10th.
West Ham are 14th in the table, a huge 14 points adrift of the European places. The East Londoners face a tough task this afternoon, against an Aston Villa side who have not lost on home soil since August. Unai Emery’s team are unbeaten in their last 10 games at Villa Park.
Graham Potter has inherited a depleted squad with West Ham lacking options in the final third. Jarrod Bowen, Michail Antonio and Niclas Fullkrug are all on the sidelines, leaving Danny Ings as the only recognised forward available.
Jean-Clair Todibo and Crysencio Summerville are also in the treatment room for the visitors, while Konstantinos Mavropanos is suspended after his red card against Crystal Palace last weekend.
West Ham United predicted XI: Fabianski; Coufal, Kilman, Cresswell; Wan-Bissaka, Alvarez, Soler, Emerson; Paqueta, Soucek; Kudus.
Aston Villa host West Ham in the Premier League on Sunday 26th January 2025. Kick-off at Villa Park is 16:30 GMT.
The game will be broadcast on Sky Sports Main Event, Sky Sports Premier League and Sky Sports Ultra HDR.
