The South Korean has been in great form of late, and has added another two goals and an assist to his tally for this season, after coming off the sidelines in Paisley to help swing the result in Celtic’s favour massively.
Slowly but surely, Yang has emerged from the outskirts of he squad to start to look as if he can really give us something moving forward. Brendan Rodgers made no bones about him needing more from the player this year, when his performances had been largely ineffectual when he was called upon.
However, the manager had also mentioned that what he sees from the winger every day in training up at Lennoxtown, was enough for him to be convinced that there are plenty of raw materials for him to work with. That development arc now seems to be in the process of taking another massive step in the right direction for both Yang and Celtic, as he looks a real goal threat from the bench now.
His two goals against Stephen Robinson’s side on Saturday night at the SMiSA Stadium, were proof enough that he is getting to grips with his environment every day and what is being asked of him. The ball through for Daizen Maeda also set the scene for the striker to take it in his stride as he was honing in on Zach Hemming’s goal, which is arguably one of the goal’s of the season to date.

Hopefully he can keep it going on a regular basis now…
