Yoro, Heaven Shaw: Amorim provides full injury update with returnees confirmed for Forest trip

Ruben Amorim is preparing his squad for a crunch Premier League fixture away to Champions League-chasing Nottingham Forest.
The international break provided some respite for the Manchester United team. However, they will now undergo a truly brutal run of fixtures involving matches against Forest, Manchester City, Newcastle United and a two-legged Europa League quarter-final vs Olympique Lyonnais.
Nuno Espirito Santo has been left sweating over the fitness of two of his most influential players in form of Chris Wood and Morgan Gibbs-White; the former sustained an issue while playing for New Zealand, and the latter was withdrawn in the closing stages of Saturday’s FA Cup triumph over Brighton and Hove Albion.

As for Amorim’s options, he will be boosted by the return of both Leny Yoro and Harry Maguire. Mason Mount made the matchday squad against Leicester City prior to the break but was an unused substitute – so he may be called upon in some form at the City Ground.
The boss added that Kobbie Mainoo is ‘almost ready’, although Tuesday’s fixture will come too soon for the teenager, who hasn’t played since the beginning of February.
Jonny Evans and Ayden Heaven are ‘recovering’, and Luke Shaw has stepped up his recovery in recent weeks but remains sidelined for now.
In the four first-team appearances he made before his setback, Heaven had thoroughly impressed supporters with his displays, during which he looked mature beyond his years when deployed in Amorim’s complex setup.
He was, unfortunately, stretchered off in the second half at the King Power Stadium, although it appears his injury is not as substantial as first feared.
“It is not so serious. He is recovering, he is not yet ready to play but he will return this season, for sure,” Amorim told reporters during this afternoon’s press conference at Carrington.
Kick-off is penned in for 8pm in the East Midlands tomorrow evening.
