A trio of first-team stars at La Liga giants Real Madrid were forced to sit out the club’s latest group training session on Friday.
That’s according to Melchor Ruiz of Cope, who points towards Andriy Lunin, Ferland Mendy and David Alaba as the players in question.
Real Madrid are of course currently in the midst of final preparations for a return to action on Sunday.
Fresh off a pair of successive defeats in all competitions, Los Blancos will make the trip to Mendizorroza, for a La Liga meeting with Alavés.
Carlo Ancelotti’s men enter the clash in the knowledge that a return to winning ways is something of a must, sitting four points behind Barcelona atop Spain’s top-flight.
As alluded to above, though, in efforts towards as much, Real will likely be forced to make do without the contributions of a trio of players.
As per COPE, all of the aforementioned Lunin, Mendy and Alaba missed group training earlier today.
The former pair are therefore as good as ruled out against Alavés, with defender Alaba also likely to be rested owing to a minor thigh concern.
