AC Milan are preparing to face Hellas Verona on matchday 25 in Serie A, with kick-off scheduled for 20:45 CET on 15 February at San Siro. Sérgio Conceição's side are ready to give everything to pick up three precious points in this central phase of the season. On the other hand, Zanetti's men will be looking to cause problems for the Rossoneri, who will line up in the new Fourth kit for the first time. Here is out Match Preview to introduce the clash.
LATEST FROM MILANELLO AC Milan head into this match on the back of a convincing 2-0 victory over Empoli last time out in Serie A, a match where they looked solid and posed a threat in attack. However, the 1-0 defeat to Feyenoord in the Champions League highlighted the need for further improvement if the team want to compete on multiple fronts. The Rossoneri are determined to keep growing and make the most of home advantage to pick up a positive result against Hellas Verona. Compared to the trip to Rotterdam, Musah is available again after his Champions League suspension, as are Jiménez, Jović and Sottil (who are not in AC Milan's European squad). Warren Bondo could be named in the matchday squad for the first time after taking part in group training in the build-up to the game, but Tomori is unavailable after his red card against Empoli.
LATEST FROM HELLAS VERONA The Gialloblù are heading to San Siro after losing 5-0 to Atalanta last time out in Serie A. Despite that heavy defeat, Zanetti's men have shown signs of improvement in recent away matches, remaining unbeaten in four of their last five fixtures on the road (wins against Bologna, Monza and Parma, and a draw against Venezia). They will be looking to rediscover some solidity in defence and make the most of any opportunities that fall their way to make things difficult for AC Milan. Duda is back from suspension, but Ghilardi will miss out for disciplinary reasons, with Dawidowicz or Valentini set to replace him. In attack, Zanetti should start Sarr and Mosquera, the latter of whom is likely to get the nod over Kastanos.
"It'll be a very difficult match, probably even more so than the reverse fixture," said Paolo Zanetti in his pre-match press conference. "AC Milan are team with fantastic technical ability and real champions. We mustn't focus too much on how strong AC Milan are but on what we can and must do better. We have to show the desire to come away with something from a difficult match. We're in Serie A, and you have to face certain opponents with determination, grit and belief, not with fear and apprehension."
