Agent Giuseppe Riso paid Inter a visit on Thursday but did not discuss the future of Davide Frattesi, who will stay put despite the past chatter about a possible transfer to Roma. The representative spoke to Tuttomercatoweb.

“We didn’t talk about him today. They don’t want to sell him. It was more my idea. There was something with the Giallorossi at the beginning of the window. However, it didn’t come from Simone Inzaghi or the front office. He’s happy, as he said. We haven’t started thinking about the summer for now.”

Inter exec Piero Ausilio quipped about Riso while the Frattesi saga was heating up.

“He stated that I’m too active, but he’s funny as well.”

The parties examined other matters.

“There’s surely something in the works with Olympique Marseille for Valentin Carboni.”

While Inter and Roma won’t make a deal for Frattesi, they are in talks for Nicola Zalewski. The wing-back is very keen on moving to Milan and prefers such a destination above all. However, the Giallorossi haven’t accepted the conditions posed by the counterparty at this stage, Corriere dello Sport informs.

The Scudetto champions asked for the Pole either right away for €500k, as he’s on an expiring contract, or on loan with a €6/7M option to buy. He’d have to re-up beforehand. Olympique Marseille were ready to offer a similar sum to acquire him pronto, but he rebuffed them.

Giuseppe Marotta hinted at the signing.

“We’re looking for a young profile who could fit in without authority, as we’re fine with the backbone of our team.”

The alternative is Cristiano Biraghi, who’s a homegrown player.
