The agent of Inter Milan loanee Sebastiano Esposito believes his client could still return to Giuseppe Meazza.

During an interview with Gazzetta dello Sport, as reported by FCInter1908, the Nerazzurri hierarchy keeps the prodigious striker in high regard.

Esposito graduated from the Inter academy after joining the youth section from Brescia in 2014.

He made his senior debut for the club in 2019 but would only go on to make seven Serie A appearances at Meazza.

For most of his career at Inter, Esposito has been a journeyman.

Indeed, loan spells at SPAL, Venezia, Basel, Anderlecht, Bari, and Sampdoria were supposed to help him gain experience.

What’s more important, they should’ve been a springboard for his first-team return.

However, he has never had a real opportunity to prove his worth on the grandest stage.

Therefore, when Inter shipped him out on loan to Empoli in the summer, everyone had thought it would be the end of his Nerazzurri stint.

But Esposito’s entourage refuses to believe in that scenario.

Esposito’s contract at Inter runs out in 2025.

On top of that, Empoli have a buyout clause, allowing them to purchase the 22-year-old at the end of the season.

Considering the young gun’s impressive start at Stadio Carlo Castellani, it would be surprising if they passed on that opportunity.

Meanwhile, his representative maintains the Inter chiefs are still counting on his client.

“He only has one year left on his contract, and Inter still believe in him,” the agent stated.

Esposito became the youngster Inter player to appear in the Champions League match after Beppe Bergomi in October 2019.

Moreover, a season before, he became the youngest player ever to feature in a European match for the club.

He’s also the youngest Inter star to score in a Serie A game at San Siro, doing so at only 17.
