James Ward-Prowse is returning to West Ham from his loan spell at Nottingham Forest.
The former Southampton captain was told his was surplus to requirements under Julen Lopetegui, however new Head Coach Graham Potter is understood to be keen to link up with the set-piece specialist.
Reporting on The West Ham Way, club insider ExWHUEmployee advised that Ward-Prowse will now certainly remain in east London for the rest of the current season at least.
“West Ham have agreed to take back JWP’s wages and not take the full season loan fee,” reported Ex. “This is something that we discussed could happen on recent podcasts and following his absence from the Forest squad this weekend it was deemed best for both parties.
“JWP will remain at West Ham for the remainder of the season because he played for us at the start of the season and then for Forest and by FIFA rulings you can only play for 2 clubs in one season. Potter is said to be keen to work with the player.”
