Al-Hilal could withdraw their offer for Simone Inzaghi even if the coach leaves Inter Milan this summer.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper La Repubblica, via FCInterNews.

The future of Inter Milan coach Simone Inzaghi is currently in the balance.

The 49-year-old will reportedly meet with Inter tomorrow. He and the Nerazzurri will decide on whether he will remain coach of the club.

By all accounts Inter want to keep hold of Inzaghi. They will offer him a new contract.

However, at the same time, the former Lazio coach may have his own ideas. And if the Nerazzurri don’t convince him, then he may well decide to leave.

The 5-0 hammering by Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League final is certainly a key factor in uncertainty around Inzaghi’s future.

That emphatic defeat laid bare how much of a rebuild is required this summer.

And it’s entirely possible that Inzaghi will decide that he does not want to lead the project in this phase.

However, the rumours about Inzaghi’s future were also swirling long before the Champions League final.

Reportedly, Saudi Pro League side Al-Hilal have been pushing hard to tempt Inzaghi to leave Inter with a huge financial offer.

However, the 5-0 loss to PSG may give Al-Hilal second thoughts, La Repubblica report. The Saudi side may decide to look elsewhere and withdraw their offer – even if Inzaghi chooses to leave Inter.
