Serie A giants Napoli kept their winning form going in the title race and manager Antonio Conte ended up looking back on his time at Tottenham Hotspur.

Napoli picked up a 2-0 win over Milan earlier today, going seven clear at the top of the table. Romelu Lukaku got an early goal and later in the game, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia scored brilliantly to make it 2-0. Napoli sat deeper, controlled the game and kept Milan at bay in the entirety of the game, picking up all three points.

Conte was asked to speak about his time at Tottenham after the game and he told DAZN that he is happy with how he helped the club progress, taking them to the Champions League, even if they didn’t challenge for the Premier League.

He said, as relayed by CN24: “I left Tottenham where I think I did very well, from 9th place we went to the Champions League and now I’ve been out of that Cup for two years. I did my best there in my opinion. Then I understand that there is always great expectation on me.”

The stint at Spurs didn’t end well for Conte, who had spoken up against the club’s board and upper management, leading to his eventual sack. It wasn’t the most promising time of his career, but things are back on track for him at Napoli.
