The list of Blackburn Rovers players who have a contract expiring in 2025

Blackburn Rovers are in the mix for a play-off place this year as they seek a return to the Premier League for the first time since 2012.

The Lancashire outfit have had a season of ups and downs, but are still in the mix for a top-six position as we approach the final couple of months of the campaign.

However, regardless of their league status for next year, the club will have big decisions to make ahead of the summer.

Here we look at the seven Blackburn players currently out of contract this summer that could depart for £0 unless an extension can be agreed…

Tyrhys Dolan

Tyrhys Dolan has been a key figure for Blackburn this season, but his time at the club could come to an end this season.

He was a regular in the side under John Eustace, and the next manager will surely see a place for him in the team for the final weeks of the campaign.

But there are no guarantees he will be at Ewood Park beyond this campaign, as the club have no option to extend his deal, meaning it expires in June.

Rovers would be due a compensation fee given Dolan's age.

Dominic Hyam

Dominic Hyam has been a mainstay in the team this year and has started every match so far in the Championship.

The defender has been a key part of the team during his three years with the club, and there is no doubt that his potential departure in the summer would be a blow to Blackburn.

But Rovers can take some solace in the fact they reportedly have an option to extend his deal to 2026.

Yuri Ribiero

Yuri Ribiero joined Blackburn at the end of the January transfer window but he arrived on a short-term basis and could be gone again in the summer.

He has settled into a starting role in the team so far and if he can keep that up then there will be a strong argument for looking to keep him for at least one more year.

Ryan Hedges

Ryan Hedges is heading into the final few months of his contract with Blackburn, but the club also hold an option to extend this deal by a further 12 months.

This gives Rovers a more comfortable position with the Welshman compared to these other names, and a decision over his future can wait until the end of the campaign – though reports have indicated they do plan to extend his deal.

Andreas Weimann

Andreas Weimann has proven a useful addition to the Blackburn side, bringing some experience to the club’s forward options.

However, with the striker now 33 and not as consistent a presence in the side, a decision will need to be made over whether another contract is warranted after this season.

Adam Forshaw

Adam Forshaw joined Blackburn on a short-term basis after departing Plymouth Argyle in January.

The 33-year-old has been a useful addition to the side and has made a solid case to be retained beyond this season, but no decision has yet been made over his future.

Danny Batth

Blackburn signed Danny Batth after his departure from Norwich City last summer and he has played a role in the team’s play-off push this year.

The 34-year-old has a regular place in the team, but it remains to be seen whether the next manager will want to keep him once his contract expires at the end of the campaign.
