Arsenal have lost even more ground in the Premier League title race as they dropped points to Brentford.
Thomas Partey gave the Gunners a second-half lead, finishing off a lightning-quick counter attack with Declan Rice at the heart of things once again for Mikel Arteta’s side.
However, Yoane Wissa hooked in a crucial equaliser to score in back-to-back visits to the Emirates - a goal that would deny Arsenal all three points on the afternoon.
The result means Liverpool need just nine more points from six games to seal the Premier League title, which could be won against Arsenal’s fierce North London rivals Tottenham on April 27.
Arsenal’s wafer thin hopes of contesting for the Premier League title were dealt another seismic blow following a 1-1 draw against Brentford at the Emirates.
Four days after their stunning 3-0 win against Real Madrid in the Champions League, Mikel Arteta’s men were brought crashing back down to earth with a draw that puts them 10 points adrift of Liverpool having played a game more.
Thomas Partey opened the scoring for Arsenal after 61 minutes but Brentford responded through Yoane Wissa 13 minutes later.

“The attitude, if you see at the end we have to play with 10 men and we had two big opportunities to score, you cannot say it is about energy,” he told Sky Sports.
“We play every three days and are used to it, so there is not an excuse of energy.
“We are disappointed with the result. We had full control of the game and conceded a very poor goal. It was not good enough and when you don't do what you have to do against this team, you concede a goal.”

"Of course, it is a very good point against a very good Arsenal team that beat Real Madrid four days ago,” he said.
“Fighting back to get to 1-1 shows the character in our team. I would have loved us to create more but they also defended very well.
"We would love to compete for Europe and aim for as high as possible in many ways. That is what we are fighting for every single year and game. We are never celebrating a point but it is a very good point. We will keep pushing."
