Ayden Heaven has issued an update on his injury after being stretchered off during his first start for Manchester United.
The centre-back had be stretchered off the pitch during Sunday's 3-0 win over Leicester City after suffering a serious-looking foot injury.
Heaven looked in some discomfort during the opening stages of the second half and attempted to intercept the ball near his own goal, lost his balance and collapsed near the back post.
It was a nightmare end to a first league start for the teenager, who had impressed while deputising for the likes of Leny Yoro, Lisandro Martinez and Harry Maguire. He was replaced by Toby Collyer.
Heaven was spotted after the game wearing a protective boot but walking unaided, which suggested the injury was not as serious as first feared.
Ruben Amorim said after the game that Heaven would continue to be assessed over the coming days and on Tuesday the youngster provided his own update.
Posting on Instagram, he wrote: "Thank you guys for all the support! I have read all your messages, and I'm doing really well and recovering fast."
It remains to be seen when Heaven will be fit to return, but Amorim will hope his spell on the sidelines is short as he juggles plenty of fitness issues in his defence.
