Barcelona might have come out of the January transfer window with no major signings, but the club have made some crucial strategic moves, including the renewal of multiple star players.

These moves have allowed Barcelona to create the ideal environment for Barça to hunt for new signings in the summer of 2025.

One of Barcelona’s priorities is to sign a new right-back, who can compete with Jules Kounde for the position.

Barcelona eyeing a move for Daniel Munoz

According to Antena2 (h/t Mundo Deportivo), Barcelona are among the clubs interested in the services of Daniel Munoz of Crystal Palace.

Munoz has been one of the rising stars in the Premier League this season, having established himself as a crucial outlet in the Crystal Palace defence.

Barcelona, though, are set to face stiff competition from a host of Premier League giants, including Manchester City and Chelsea.

All these clubs are interested in acquiring the services of Munoz and could make a move in the summer of 2025.

Munoz: A Barcelona fan

The report adds that Munoz, for his part, is a childhood Barcelona fan and is a great admirer of Ronaldinho.

This could greatly favour Barcelona, should they attempt to convince the young Colombian to join the ranks next season.

That said, Munoz is in no rush to take the next step in his career. He wants to bide his time before taking a decision on his future.

Not to mention, the competition from Chelsea and Man City cannot be ignored, considering the fact that these clubs have far superior economic firepower.

Keeping that in mind, it will be interesting to see whether or not Barcelona continue the pursuit of Munoz in the coming future.
