Barcelona star Iñigo Martínez has on Friday moved to send something of a warning the way of upcoming opponents Real Madrid.
The latest edition of El Clásico, of course, is set to play out on Sunday evening.
This comes after Barcelona and Real Madrid emerged triumphant from their respective semi-final meetings with Athletic Club and RCD Mallorca, in the Spanish Super Cup.
Speaking during an interview with Barca One, as cited by Diario Sport, on Friday, it therefore came as little surprise when the subject of the task awaiting he and his teammates in two days’ time was put to the aforementioned Iñigo Martínez.
And the defender, as alluded to above, made use of the opportunity to make clear that Hansi Flick’s side ‘know how to hurt’ Real Madrid:
“We know what we have to do, where we can attack and hurt them. Let’s go for them, we have full confidence and we have plenty of squad. We are looking forward to it because it is the first title and it is always a pleasure to lift one.”
