A recent report from Mundo Deportivo has offered a comprehensive update about Barcelona’s transfer policies heading into 2025.
The report sheds light on some of the options Barcelona are exploring in the transfer market, particularly ones that could be available on a free transfer in the summer.
One of them is Arsenal’s Thomas Partey, who can add some much-needed depth to Barça’s midfield unit.
Barcelona, though, are also open to reinforcements in the defensive unit and to that end, the club are exploring a surprise move for Reinildo.
As per Mundo Deportivo, the Atletico Madrid defender has emerged as an option for the Blaugrana, as his contract expires at the end of the season.
Reinildo is rated highly due to his athleticism and the versatility he offers to the table. However, in recent times, he has fallen behind Javi Galan in the pecking order.

Barça, nevertheless, are keeping tabs on Reinildo’s situation as he can add some much-needed depth to the defensive unit.
Reinildo, after all, can not only reinforce the left-back unit but can also operate as a central defender.
From a sporting perspective, Reinildo can serve as a deputy for Alejandro Balde. He can also act as backup for the main central defenders, thus giving Hansi Flick more options to choose from.
Given the defender’s current status in the team, it is also unlikely Atletico Madrid would want to renew his contract, making it easier for Barcelona to make a move.
On the flip side, it will be interesting to see how Barcelona respond to Atletico Madrid’s desire to sign Clement Lenglet, who has been in terrific form this season.
