Brentford’s 4-3 win over Manchester United at the Gtech Community Stadium wasn’t just one of the most entertaining matches of the season – here are a few stats from Sunday you might’ve missed.
With those four goals, the Bees have now scored 62 in the 2024/25 Premier League campaign – their highest total since promotion in 2021.
That beats the 58 from 2022/23, the 56 in 2023/24, and the 48 in their debut top-flight season of 2021/22 – a sign of how far they’ve come under Thomas Frank.
Kevin Schade’s brace of headers pushed Brentford to another milestone. They now lead the Premier League with 13 headed goals this season – second only to Inter Milan (14) across Europe’s top five leagues.
Their home form’s been just as strong. Only Manchester City (40) and Liverpool (39) have scored more goals at home than Brentford’s 38, making the Gtech one of the toughest places to visit this season.
And here’s the standout stat: Brentford are the only team in the Premier League with three players on 10 or more league goals. Bryan Mbeumo and Yoane Wissa are both on 18, with Schade now hitting 10.
Only Barcelona and Bayern Munich can match that in Europe. Barcelona have Robert Lewandowski (25), Raphinha (16), and Ferran Torres (10), while Bayern boast Harry Kane (24), Jamal Musiala (12), Leroy Sané (11), and Michael Olise (10).
