“Brings a similar threat” – Martin Keown names Chelsea star who should start upfront vs Nottingham Forest

Arsenal legend Martin Keown believes Tyrique George is the best replacement for Nicolas Jackson in the Chelsea squad.
Chelsea head to the City Ground on Sunday for a final day showdown against Nottingham Forest with Champions League qualification on the line.
The Blues currently occupy the fifth and final Champions League spot and know a victory will guarantee them a return to Europe’s Premier club competition.
Chelsea head into the game against Forest without a recognised striker after Jackson got sent off against Newcastle.
George started down the middle against Manchester United, but the teenager struggled to hold the ball up and get involved in the game.
However, Maresca was impressed by what he saw from George, and there’s a chance he will retain his place against Forest.

Chelsea have been boosted by the news both Marc Guiu and Christopher Nkunku will be available, but it’s likely the pair will both make the bench at best.
Maresca has a decision to make on whether to stick with George, and Keown believes the 19-year-old is the best replacement for Jackson.
“Chelsea have won four of their last five league games but are severely hampered by the absence of Nicolas Jackson,” Keown told The Daily Mail.
“His movement in behind has been critical to giving Cole Palmer the space and options to work his magic.
“No Chelsea player has made more high-intensity runs in the league this season. Without Jackson, they become too predictable in wide areas.

“Christopher Nkunku has not convinced, too often drifting towards the ball instead of running in behind.
“Academy graduate Tyrique George gave a welcome balance against United last week and brings a similar threat to Jackson.”
Maresca is under pressure to deliver Champions League football but is believed to be safe regardless of how the season ends.
Chelsea believe the 45-year-old can become one of the best coaches in the business, and it’s thought they aren’t considering a managerial change.
If the Blues really believe that, they need to give Maresca time and back him with what he needs in the summer window.
