Celtic and Leeds United want €10 million French winger

If the consecutive defeats against the Rangers show anything, it is that Celtic need to improve their squad in the summer. They let key players leave in the winter transfer window and did not bring in proper replacements, even though the team had been showing signs of slowing down even before that. The results have been as one would expect.
There have been games when Celtic have done well. The away trip to Allianz Arena, where they drew against Bayern Munich, is a great example of that.
But at the same time, there have been a lot of bad results along the way as well. Ones that would have proven costly in a different season. Thankfully, the gap between Celtic and the Rangers in the title race is too wide for the defeats to have any real impact.
It looks like a French winger is now on the club's radar, heading into the summer transfer window. But it would take a significant transfer fee to sign him from FC Nantes.
As reported by Le Republicain Sportif, Herba Guirassy is drawing interest from clubs such as Leeds United and Celtic. FC Nantes could consider letting him leave for a transfer fee of around €10 million.
That is a significant fee to shell out for an 18-year-old winger who has only made 17 senior-level appearances so far. That being said, he has already scored 3 times for FC Nantes and was an absolute standout for them at the U19 level, scoring 24 goals in 36 games.
It remains to be seen if Celtic do end up making a move for Guirassy in the summer or not. They have been linked with plenty of players with similar profiles in recent years, but a move has never really materialised.
