A lot of focus already seems to be moving towards the summer transfer window, with Celtic being linked with a number of players already. But one cannot forget about the task at hand, which is to win the remaining two competitions and complete a domestic treble. The Hoops have a significant lead in the Premiership and should have enough in the tank to get over the finish line.
On the other hand, they have the Scottish Cup to deal with as well. Of course, knockout competitions are always trickier, as one bad day at the office spells the end of things.
Just ask the Rangers about it. They were knocked out of the Scottish Cup this season at home, at the hands of Championship side Queen's Park.
On the other hand, there is an update on the ticketing situation for the game as well. As reported by CeltsAreHere, Celtic have confirmed that the tickets for the semi-final against St Johnstone will initially be available to Season Ticket holders who are part of the Home Cup Ticket Scheme. The sales will begin at 10 am on Friday, March 28, and fans will have until 2 pm on Wednesday, April 2, to secure their seats.
Of course, on paper, a game against St Johnstone should not be tough for Celtic. They currently sit at the bottom of the Premiership table.
That being said, it also means that this might very well turn out to be the only thing they have left to play for. In recent memory, we have witness Wigan Athletic win the FA Cup in the same season that they were relegated from the Premier League.
Celtic will be heavy favourites going into the game, that is for sure. But they cannot take anything for granted.
