Luis Palma scored a double for Honduras in his nations 2-0 victory over Mexico in the Concacaf Nations league quarter final first leg at the General Francisco Morazan stadium in the Honduran capital. (Watch the goals HERE).
The Celtic winger is experiencing a bit of a slump in his club form, but it seems to be completely different story for Luis at international level where he seems to be thriving.

Luis is a talented player and I’d like him to turn things around at Celtic, but unfortunately I can’t see that happening. I think it’s clear that Brendan doesn’t see the Honduran in his plans going forward and a move whether on loan or permanent seems inevitable in January.
As an aside, it’s clear that Luis has an eye to goal but struggles out wide for Celtic. Does anyone think he could do a Tom Rogic style role in the Celtic midfield where his creative ability and eye for goal could be utilised?

With Luis not getting much playing time at club level, it will be difficult to get an interested club to part with the cash needed to secure his arrival, but his international form could indeed pave the way for his departure and help the club make a small profit on what they paid for the Honduran.
With the club also looking to get a few million profit on Alexandro Bernabei, add a decent fee for Luis and it could help us bring in yet another quality player during the next transfer window. Unless Brendan has other plans for Palma, one of the few players who has yet to push on under the Celtic manager’s highly regarded development skills.
I suppose we will find out in January. Here are Luis Palma’s two goals..
PS – This is disgraceful…
