Chelsea midfielders Carney Chukwuemeka and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall are currently being eyed by West Ham United, according to The Telegraph.
Chukwuemeka has endured another injury-plagued season, while Dewsbury-Hall has struggled for regular game time despite previously working under current Blues boss Enzo Maresca at Leicester City.
Consequently, a move away from Stamford Bridge is expected this month for the midfielders if they are to get their careers back on track following a period of stagnation.
Chukwuemeka is yet to feature in the Premier League this term and has made all five of his appearances across Europa Conference League and League Cup duty.
Dewsbury-Hall has made just five league appearances, all of which have come as a substitute, totalling a combined 68 minutes of action.
Chelsea are reportedly open to letting Chukwuemeka go permanently, but they may only be willing to part ways with the Dewsbury-Hall on a temporary basis.
West Ham have been linked with a move for both players in a bid to improve their squad after underperforming during the first half of the season.
The Hammers kicked off the campaign with optimism but are 13th in the standings after picking up 23 points from their 20 games.
A humiliating 4-1 defeat to Manchester City on Saturday means they have now let in nine goals across their last two matches ahead of Friday’s FA Cup third-round clash against Aston Villa.
It is highly imperative West Ham address key issues in their squad sooner rather than later, or they run the risk of being sucked into a relegation battle during the second half of the campaign.
