The Blues have once again helped line the pockets of the agents this season
Chelsea spent more on agent fees over the last year than any other Premier League club, paying player representatives more than £60million in total.
On Monday, the Football Association published their latest records for club spending on agents fees for the period between February 2, 2024 and February 3, 2025.
In aggregate, Premier League clubs spent more than £409m on agent fees in that period, while clubs from the Championship spent £63.2m.
Chelsea were the top-flight's biggest spenders, with £60.4m of their revenue going to agents — a comparable tally to the total across the Championship. But that still marks a saving of £14.7m on the league-high £75.1m the Blues spent on agent fees the year prior.
The report from the FA read explained: “Payments included in these figures may have been made in relation to transactions that were entered into before the first date of this reporting period.
“As a result, the total payment figure per club will not necessarily relate directly to those transactions listed involving a football agent registered in England for the same period.”
The next-highest spenders after Chelsea were Manchester City, who spent £52.1m on agent fees in that period, while third were Manchester United (£33.0m).
Aston Villa (£25.1m) and Newcastle United (£24.4m) completed the top five.
Arsenal spent £22.8m, while Tottenham paid agents £18.4m. The lowest spenders in the division were newly-promoted Ipswich, whose fees for agent transactions amounted to just £6.2m of spending.
In the Championship, the only team who spent more than Burnley (£5.3m) were Leeds United, whose astronomical spending on agent fees amounted to £18.8m.
Huddersfield Town (£1.2m) and Fleetwood Town (£284,000) spent the most in League One and League Two, respectively.
