Chelsea host fourth-tier Morecame in the FA Cup’s third round on Saturday.
The Blues begin their FA Cup campaign as strong favourites against a Shrimps side trying to cling on to their Football League status.
Enzo Maresca will hope his side can use the tie to rediscover their form, following a four-game winless run. The West Londoners have dropped to fourth in the Premier League table as a result.
Morecambe are 23rd in League Two, but have won two of their last three league games. Derek Adams’ side beat Tranmere Rovers 2-0 in their last league outing on New Year’s Day and head into the clash after a 10-day rest.
Enzo Maresca has confirmed that Reece James and Romeo Lavia are available to start following recent layoffs. The duo are expected to be included in the starting side as they attempt to find rhythm after spells on the sidelines.
The clash should see the likes of Cole Palmer and Nicolas Jackson handed rests, with the under-used Christopher Nkunku and Joao Felix set to come into the side.
Marc Guiu, who has scored six times in the Europa Conference League, could lead the line. The 19-year-old has featured for just 47 minutes in domestic competition so far this season.
Chelsea predicted XI: Jorgensen; James, Acheampong, Disasi, Veiga; Lavia, Chukwuemeka; Madueke, Nkunku, Felix; Guiu.
